"Lauren and the rest of the staff at B-More Charming deliver fun and practical training strategies using a scientifically-based approach known as operant conditioning. Each training session provides opportunity for the handler (human companion) to practice effectively communicating desired behaviors to their dog(s) without the use of force. The dogs learn to think and understand that a particular behavior he/she chooses to do has a particular consequence. Working systematically through each stage of learning - with you as their partner, your dog will begin offering behaviors voluntarily, quickly and confidently. Perhaps the most impressive thing I’ve seen observing the classes as a “trainer in training”, is how much the dogs seem to really enjoy the whole experience. Who wouldn’t, right?!"

“The women at B-more Charming are great! Lauren has come to my house to help train my sweet but hopelessly neurotic hound dog on an electronic dog door that used to scare her to death. Before Lauren came the first time, Molly wouldn’t get within several feet of the door, and three months after having the door installed, I despaired that she’d never get used to it. But Molly LOVES Lauren, and within minutes of her arrival at our house, Molly was gobbling treats right by the door. Before she left, Lauren gave me several steps to practice on a daily basis between her visits, to get Molly more and more comfortable with the door. By the end of Lauren’s second visit, Molly was actually going through the door! Lauren’s training definitely worked!"

“Lauren and Carolyn have both worked with our one and a half year old Basenji/ Shepard mix, Duke, in private sessions (and Lauren in a group session setting) and it has made a very quick and marked difference in his behavior. He has thoroughly learned basic obedience commands as well as a few others and seems genuinely more comfortable in the world. He's happier (making our lives happier), more attentive and more predictable as a direct result of their guidance, education and patience. We've learned how to help him deal with anxiety and aggression so he's consistently the sweet and obedient dog we always knew he was. All this done through the exclusive use of positive reinforcement! They truly understand how dogs think and how to motivate them to become ideal pups. Thank you!!!
